Trippy Butterfly

We had a great day out in Teignmouth yesterday but I'm still sorting the photos so they will be up by the end of the week.  Meanwhile, here is another card.

I got out my Tim Holtz spring distress inkpads and decided to play with them.  I wouldn't normally choose to use these 3 colours together but as they're a set I thought I'd try them .... I like them individually but not together to be honest.  I like distress inks though, they really make nice backgrounds ... I splattered water over to get the nice droplet effect.  And then used the same colours to stamp the images ontop of the background which gives a nice soft mark.  The butterflies I and sentiment I used 'Twilight Purple' Adirondack to make them stand out a bit more from the background.

And I really wasn't in a card making mood which I think shows.

Anyway the stamps I used were all Hero Arts ones ... 'Feathered Grasses' and the butterflies from 'Antique Engravings'.

We are having a second sunny day in a row!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Woo hooooo!  I know, it's soooo exciting especially as we are so sun starved here in the UK.  And guess what?  Yep, the next four days or so are forecast rain and cool temps AGAIN!  Boo!!!

Thanks for stopping by ....
